Site Map

Sitemap Details:

A site map (or sitemap) is a directory of pages of a web site reachable to crawlers or users. It can be either a document in any form used as a planning tool for web design, or a web page that lists the pages on a web site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. This helps visitors and search engine bots find pages on the site. (ref. wikipedia.org)

A sitemap file helps the search bots find pages that have been ignored or may not normally get crawled.

The HTML sitemap is for your website visitors. It is designed to save you some work while it helps visitors find other sections of your website.

The sitemap.xml file is used by the bots from Google, Yahoo, Microsoft Live Search and Ask.com.
